For Maori week, My class got the chance to do some research on the 4 walls of Te Whare Tapa Wha. Mr Bull, our student teacher, assigned us this work. Chloe, Georgia,Meg,Samara, Ari and myself were in a group, we worked well as a team and got the work done. Each group got assigned one of the four walls, but our group got assigned all of the. We then had to present our research to the class, each having to say 20% of our presentation in maori.

Maths
Today I made paper shape nets to create the objects in my slide (surface area of a cube or cuboid using a net). These objects all got measured and I then calculated the measurements. Area is height x Length which =length, with surface area I needed to add up every face to get the total surface area.

Volume
We got the opportunity to learn about volume and how it can help us in the future. We had a few tasks that we had to complete, E.G Working the formula, which we had to work out some volume problems. We had to go on an object scavenger hunt and look around our bubble for cuboid shaped objects of various sizes (2 small, 2 medium, 2 large). We then had to Measure the height, length and depth of each object and work out it’s volume.

Lockdown trick shots
For our class this lockdown, we could earn extra rvs by showing an example of a trickshot, I thought this was a great opportunity to show my rugby ability and kick and pass a ball into a bin. This task was really enjoyable and it got me enjoying the sunshine.:)

Kicking The Distance Physical Maths
Today we got the opportunity to do physical maths, this included going outside to learn something new with resources we wouldn't be able to use in the classroom. We got into groups and kicked the rugby ball five times each, we had a measurement tape spread out on the field. We had to try kick the ball the furthest. We then collected our data and put it into this bar graph, I used the bar graph because it is accurate and easy to understand.

Sports LH6 statistics
Piktochart- where you can create graphs, posters, and designs- is what I created this graph statistics on. We learnt a new tool that we can use more regularly. We took a survey asking which sports each student in LH6 enjoyed, we got a wide variety of sports that we included into our graphs.
